PATES and its affiliated companies maintain a Quality system independently aimed at conforming to the internationally accepted ISO 9001 standard. The Engineering Services provided include all equipment and materials involved with heating, lighting, ventilation, air-conditioning, electrical distribution, water supply, sanitation, public health, fire protection, facilities management etc.

Our policy is to provide our clients with high performance service to logistically complex and extremely difficult projects in accordance with the clients’ specifications and requirements while implementing the high standards set forth in the ISO standards and the company’s Quality policies.

The Quality Policy is an integral part of our business strategy and serves as a guide in ensuring safe and efficient performance of work activities meeting these specific requirements. PATES employees work in line with the company’s Quality policy. Each employee is expected to endorse requirements, to uphold its intent, and to seek opportunities and methods for product or process improvement. All levels of Management are responsible for fostering an environment that promotes quality and facilitates the continuous improvement process. They shall provide leadership, training and resources necessary to attain the specified quality related objectives.

PATES’s Quality Assurance System ensures adherence to the Quality policy and objectives as well as Regulatory and Client requirements. All levels of management support the Quality Assurance System. The QA/QC Manager has the authority and responsibility for the control, Implementation and application of this program to work.

QUALITY ASSURANCE OVERVIEW
  • DESIGN CONTROL: The Technical/Engineering manager is responsible for the design. This is maintained through the implementation of the engineering quality plan.
    The Project department performs audits to assure compliance with the quality plan.
  • INSTALLATION: Inspection of all quality related installations is delineated in the appropriate quality control plan. These inspection and witness point are performed and documented in accordance with the relevant procedures.
    Our extensive audit program assures that the requirements of the control plan or the inspection & test plan of the client’s specification are fully and professionally implemented.
  • INSPECTION AND TESTING: Our QA/QC Representatives performs and document reviews and inspection as specified in the client specification and as detailed in the applicable Quality Control plan; and the individual operating procedures.
    Activity matrices are developed when required. The records/objective evidence are compiled and maintained for later turn-over to our clients.
  • INSPECTION, MEASURING AND TEST EQUIPMENT: All inspection, measuring and test equipment are maintained and calibrated as specified in the Quality procedures. The handlings of this equipment are by our trained and experience engineers.
  • QUALITY AUDITS: {PATES} Project QA/QC Manager ensures that audits are schedule in such a way that activities are verified at intervals as activities dictate. When establishing the frequency of audits, consideration is given to the importance of the activity and findings of the previous audits.
    Audit Results are analysed to correct and prevent recurrence of deficiencies, which affect the product(s). These deficiencies are addressed by the implementation of corrective and preventive action.
  • QUALITY RECORDS: Quality records are retained in the archive section of the QA/QC Department and in accordance with applicable quality procedures and the client requirements. Electronic data files are retained individually on PC hard drives and storage devices by the owner of the data. Computer data back-ups are made by the data service controller and stored on the computer archives. This information is locked in the company’s safe to prevent loss, environmental contamination or damage.
